I live and work in the hills of the Northern Rivers with my partner and our three children – twin sons and a daughter. Rooted in this landscape, my practice is closely connected to the rhythms of the countryside and the quiet poetry found in everyday moments.
Raised in rural Malawi, Africa and now settled in Australia, my perspective is shaped by contrasting landscapes and cultures. This early connection to nature and place continues to inform the way I observe and interpret the world around me.
My work explores fleeting glimpses of landscape, shifting skies, and the stillness that sits just beneath the surface of the ordinary. Using chalk pastel and mixed media on paper, I work intuitively, layering, erasing, and building marks through repeated gestures. Each piece evolves organically, allowing space for the unexpected to emerge.
Recurring throughout my work are moments observed in nature, fragments of time that ground, soothe, and reflect. Through texture, form, and process, I aim to hold space for those subtle, often overlooked experiences that connect us back to place and presence.
I have a diverse background in Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Textiles. I was formally trained in Interior Design (Honours) at RMIT in Melbourne, Australia, and in Graphic Design at Queensland’s Southbank Institute of Technology.
